What we will need to know to build your hose
- Size
What is the inner diameter (I.D.) of your hose? Appropriate selection will minimize pressure loss and prevent damage from heat and turbulence. - Temperature
Internal and external hose temperatures are important to consider. Temperatures that are too high or too low can have a significant impact on the life of your hose. - Application
What is your hose being used for? Different applications will require different types of hoses that will be constructed from different materials. - Material conveyed (fluid)
Some fluids may contain chemicals that can deteriorate your hose. Choosing a hose appropriate for handling the fluid your application is using will improve its life and lessen the chance of failure. - Pressure
Hoses go through pressure surges and spikes, selecting the appropriate hose type and fittings will extend the life of your hose and avoids down time and/or injury. - Ends or Hose fittings
The correct fitting is important to obtain the correct coupling between your hose and the base. Factors to consider include fitting angles, thread and if you need male or female fitting. Fitting types vary and may come down to OE and/or country of origin. - Delivery
Customers may have specific delivery requirements including testing, certifications, special packaging, tagging, etc.
